Welcome to Avoca Insurance Holdings (AIH). AIH is a Bermuda based holding company owned by the Carvill family. The company was formed in January 2009 to create and manage Specialty Lines Underwriting companies in the US. Current group companies include:

• Manchester Specialty Programs led by Bill Thompson, a leader in Program Administration, with over 25 years experience in the Allied Healthcare arena.
• Avondale Insurance Associates led by Peter Coghlan, former President of First State and Aspen Specialty, with over 35 years experience in the US Excess and Surplus Lines marketplace.
• DirectFac Inc. led by Kevin Davidson, a former President of Munich America Fac, with over 30 years Direct Facultative experience.

In addition, Avoca owns a software development and infrastructure solutions company, Avoca Underwriting Partners (AUP). AUP is led by Danny Hinchliffe and Don Lilley and specializes in building unique Risk Underwriting Solutions for Specialty Lines carriers and Managing General Agencies.
